Shipping | Best Dry Aged Beef

At Oak Barn Beef, we take as much care shipping your beef as we do raising and dry aging it. Every order is packed by hand on our Nebraska family ranch and shipped with freshness, food safety, and reliability top of mind.

Shipping Days and Schedule

Oak Barn Beef ships once weekly, typically on Mondays. Depending on order volume, shipments may also go out on Tuesdays or Wednesdays.

Perishable items ship weekly on Mondays unless otherwise noted.
Non perishable and shelf stable items ship Mondays unless otherwise noted.

Because our beef is perishable, we ship based on transit time to ensure your order arrives within the same calendar week whenever possible.

For example, an order placed on Wednesday and shipping to California will typically ship the following Monday to ensure safe, cold delivery.

Shipping Methods and Availability

UPS Ground is available within the Continental United States only.

Shipping frozen beef to Alaska or Hawaii is available by UPS Next Day Air pricing.

We do not ship internationally.

We cannot ship to P.O. Boxes, but we are happy to deliver to rural routes with complete addresses and telephone numbers.

Standard Packaging and Cold Protection

Our products are individually vacuum sealed and packaged in attractive gift packaging. Orders are packed with dry ice or gel packs as needed and placed inside our reusable insulated freezer totes. These totes are then packed inside corrugated cardboard boxes to provide added protection during transit.

Orders that contain only shelf stable products may not include dry ice, gel packs, or an insulated freezer tote.

Processing Time and Shipping Rates

Please allow three to five business days for order processing in addition to transit time.

Oak Barn Beef charges a calculated shipping rate per shipping address.

Packages ship via UPS Ground unless UPS Next Day Air is selected at checkout.

Once your order ships, you will receive an email with your UPS tracking number.

Estimated Delivery Times

Midwestern states can expect delivery approximately one to two business days after shipment.

Coastal states can expect delivery approximately three to four business days after shipment.

Delivery times are estimates and are not guaranteed. Transit times may vary due to weather, holidays, increased shipping volume, or unforeseen circumstances. Orders shipping to zones close to Nebraska may arrive sooner than expected.

Weather Related Delays

Oak Barn Beef reserves the right to temporarily delay shipments due to severe weather conditions along the transit route. Customers will be notified promptly by phone or email if a delay occurs. Typical weather delays are one to two business days and most commonly occur during winter months.

Addresses and Delivery Responsibility

Oak Barn Beef does not guarantee delivery when incorrect or incomplete addresses are provided. Please ensure all shipping information is accurate before placing your order.

Packages are clearly marked perishable. It is the responsibility of the customer to ensure the contents can be refrigerated promptly upon delivery.

Oak Barn Beef is not responsible for packages that are lost, stolen, or perish due to the recipient's unavailability at the time of delivery.

UPS delivers with no signature required. Apartment deliveries are typically left in a lobby area. It is the buyer’s responsibility to make any necessary arrangements for apartment deliveries.

Gift senders are responsible for ensuring someone is available to receive the delivery.

Upon Arrival

Products may arrive frozen, partially frozen, or cool to the touch. Partially thawed items may be safely refrozen.

It is the responsibility of the customer to follow all food safety guidelines when thawing and preparing products.

Packages may contain partially dissipated dry ice or gel packs, which is normal. Do not touch dry ice with bare skin. Allow dry ice to evaporate naturally or dispose of it outdoors using gloves in a well-ventilated area. Keep away from children and pets.
