Cold temperatures cause the need for a belly-filling warm meal for lunch or dinner. Our family loves to throw a few ingredients together into a pot and let it simmer and have a delicious, filling meal. With Oak Barn Beef Stew Meat, which is pre-cut so all you have to do is throw it into the pot, it makes it 10x easier. Here’s how we make it: (via Mom’s advice)
1 can of 28-oz of diced tomatoes
1 can of corn
1 can of green beans
1 can of peas
1/2 cup Chopped Carrots
1/2 medium onion (chopped)
Salt & Pepper
2-3 Shakes Worcester Sauce (As I said, mom’s descriptions :) )
1/3 Cup Red Wine
Crock Pot (You can also use a pot on the stove- we prefer a crock pot!)
Add stew meat first, salt & pepper A LOT.
Combine vegetables, Worcester Sauce and Red Wine. Salt & Pepper again.
Leave on medium heat for 5-6 hours (The crock pot setting we use is “8”)
That’s it. Dinner is done, and you have one heck of a delicious dish for dinner and maybe leftovers for tomorrow. Comment your thoughts on this recipe-

Carne Asada is the perfect recipe for the job!
You can either brave the cold and fire up your grill or just stay indoors and use your stove top.
Serve it with some Mexican street corn, or with chips and salsa.
I absolutely love a crock pot and find it super easy to use. I simply throw in some Oak Barn Beef and a few other ingredients before heading off to school for the day or working on the farm all day and by the time I get in……the meal is ready! It really takes a lot of time out of cooking and makes the beef so tender and flavorful.
